Terms of Service
Please review the terms and conditions that govern the use of our electrical services.
Effective Date: March 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging Voltra Electrical Services ("Voltra," "we," "us," or "our") for any electrical work, you ("the Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all residential, commercial, and solar maintenance electrical services provided by Voltra Electrical Services.
2. Services Description
Voltra Electrical Services provides licensed electrical contracting services throughout Calgary and surrounding areas, including Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, and other communities in the greater Calgary region. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Residential electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades
- Commercial electrical construction and tenant improvements
- Electrical panel upgrades and replacements
- Solar panel maintenance and electrical inspections
- EV charger installations
- Emergency electrical repairs
- Electrical safety inspections and code compliance assessments
All work is performed by licensed journeyperson or master electricians in accordance with applicable Alberta regulations.
3. Estimates and Pricing
Voltra Electrical Services provides free, no-obligation estimates for all standard projects. Estimates are based on the information available at the time of assessment and represent our best professional evaluation of the work required.
Please be aware that final pricing may vary from the initial estimate if:
- Hidden or unforeseen conditions are discovered once work begins (e.g., concealed wiring issues, structural complications, or code violations in existing systems)
- The Client requests changes or additions to the original scope of work
- Material costs fluctuate significantly between the estimate date and the project start date
- Additional permits or inspections are required beyond what was originally anticipated
We will communicate any changes to pricing before proceeding with additional work and obtain your approval before incurring costs beyond the original estimate.
4. Scheduling and Cancellation
Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. We make every effort to arrive within the agreed-upon time window and will notify you as soon as possible if delays occur.
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a service call fee to cover the cost of reserved time and travel. Emergency service calls are subject to separate scheduling and pricing terms.
5. Warranties and Guarantees
Voltra Electrical Services stands behind the quality of our work. We provide a workmanship warranty on all labour performed. The specific warranty period will be outlined in your project agreement or invoice.
Manufacturer warranties on materials and equipment are passed through to the Client as provided by the manufacturer. Voltra is not responsible for defects in third-party products beyond the scope of the manufacturer's warranty.
Warranties do not cover damage resulting from misuse, unauthorized modifications, natural disasters, power surges from the utility provider, or normal wear and tear.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voltra Electrical Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the specific project giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Alberta or Canadian law.
7. Safety and Code Compliance
All electrical work performed by Voltra Electrical Services complies with the Alberta Electrical Code (based on the Canadian Electrical Code), the Alberta Electrical Utility Code, and all applicable municipal bylaws and regulations. Our electricians are licensed by the Province of Alberta, and we maintain full WCB coverage and comprehensive liability insurance.
The Client agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area and to disclose any known hazards or conditions that may affect the safety of our team. We reserve the right to halt work if unsafe conditions are identified, and we will not proceed until those conditions are resolved.
8. Payment Terms
Payment terms are outlined in your project agreement or invoice. For smaller projects, payment is typically due upon completion of work. Larger projects may require a deposit and progress payments as outlined in the project agreement.
We accept major credit cards, e-transfers, cheques, and cash. Overdue accounts may be subject to interest charges as permitted by Alberta law. Voltra reserves the right to suspend or discontinue services for accounts with outstanding balances.
